When I'm not working you can find me...
As a painfully shy super nerd, I’m a lot more likely to be setting up an epic fort and enjoying movie night with my four kids than socializing at happy hour or a swanky party.
I got in-house detention in high school for writing an essay on how much my teacher sucked--bet I still got an A on the essay though! Heeeeey! Despite being a maverick and gifting my parents with premature grey hair, I earned a full-ride scholarship to Pennsylvania State Medical School.
I was named after my Great Grandmother and told my husband that my 1st child, whether it was a boy or a girl, would be named Charlie--after my Great Grandfather--the original Marie's husband and one of my biggest sources inspirations.
Luckily, I married a man named Charlie so it was a non issue. I met my husband the first day of medical school. You should have seen him canvasing and shaking hands with everyone as they stood in line as if he was already gunning for class president. He is the absolute worst gift giver, but undeniably the best husband, father, and partner I could ever imagine.
